Nocturne II 20 x 20

Nocturne II is a depiction of the ever-present Mount Rundle, its unmistakable silhouette towering over Banff when looking south. The night sky is a composite of the countless evenings I've spent gazing out my bedroom window before drifting off to sleep—a view so familiar it has become inseparable from my memory of home. 
Created with my signature blend of intricate wood burning and bold acrylic gouache, Nocturne II forms part of a trio of nightscapes I've made for the Calgary Stampede Art Show.
